Texas Scramble

Please see news about Peter Smith below this post.

Weather played its part again today with
only eight three man teams playing in a Texas scramble.

What is surprising is that another seven Seniors actually turned up before 9am only to return home prematurely. The day turned out perfectly warm and fine for golf,
yes we had a few very light showers early on but nothing to ruin the day.

The golf was competitive and close but the conditions have changed which meant the ball was not running so much and the aerial route came into play.

This does favour the bigger hitters. Two '2s' were recorded and paid £6 per team,

New team for Farmer Bob but same result
as their 61 just pips 2nd Team

Dave rattles .pin on 14th , but that missed birdy cost them the win

Jeremy in pain as last drive was over enthusiastic..
..Earlies deserve medals as they had rain for first 5 holes

Ian is back...but unlucky to find the rain with Albie and Clive

Nobby & Captain,,,doing OK but a 7 on the 4th was to prove expensive..note Nobby WALKED all 18 Holes... we even had Bryan Frost with us for 9 Holes as his shoulder eases off.

Everyone anticipating score of Gingell / Davis & England  but not their day today
