Thursday 3rd April 2025
I would like to thank our team for travelling to Wheathill and taking part, the greens, were predictably not great and slow but better than usual. Special thanks to Steve Sutcliffe & Tony Harris for producing the only clear win and to Steve for winning nearest to pin for the Away Team on 18. As expected from any friendly, the food was very good and the company also. Very pleased to have the day wrapped up before the poor weather started. Despite the loss, the usual home advantage was in play and all games were close except 1. I am sure the tables will be turned on our home match on 13 May.
Overall results Wheathill won 4 1/2 - 1 1/2 (tbc)
18th March - Match No.1 of 33
Well done today to the CST team who beat Bridport in our
first friendly match of the season. Great start. Special mention to Dave
Edwards who was NTP in 2 on the 18th to put in an 18 inch putt to win their
game with a birdie and a shot. 🤦🏻♂️. Great
weather, the course was good other than the greens top dressing. Well done to
all involved. Next match is Wheathill away, team is on the board. Good luck to
all in the March Hare tomorrow, another cracking day
