Medical Update
You cannot fail to have noticed how many of our fellow Golfers have been through the Traumas of Prostate cancer, with at least 6 six undergoing treatment or in remission..but thankfully every one of them still with us.

We have obtained permission to take advantage of a unique opportunity for CST Seniors to book appointments at a PSA Testing Session in Bridport on Saturday 2nd November - the day after the Captain's Dinner.

I have booked my  slot for 09:30 , with no particular reason to want the test other than the re-assurance that it may give, or the advantage of an early start if the news is not good.

It's very easy to book, just follow the link in the document below
https://psatesting.org/events/bridport

It is Free and done by a Professional Organisation
and the Website answers every question you may have.

Apologies for kidnapping the Blog, but felt it was important enough to risk chastisement. If you ever have any questions about the true events in the treatment of this complaint, buy Ian Housham a Coffee and have a chat with him, he covers everything including the size and feel of items  that may be inserted into your bodily orifices should you require treatment.

..meanwhile, back on the range.

Thirty Seniors played today in a Medalford competition.
Hopefully this was the last day of the planned course maintenance and the proper greens will be back in play from tomorrow.

Some players were asking if the competition could be a Fordmedal i.e. play the stableford portionon the front nine.
I have great sympathy for this suggestion as my NR will testify.

As this was a singles competition prizes were awarded by the three divisions.
We would also have paid out for '2s' but as none were recorded birdies came into play, of which there were nine.
Scoring, albeit on the shorter course, was overall very good with again Nobby, mining a rich
vein of form, scoring the best nett and with three birdies had the biggest payout.

Congratulation to the Division winners, Mike Hone for Div One, Ron Sutherland Div Two and
Nobby Hodder for Div Three.

Peter Spencer-Farr Seniors Capt.
