Roll Up FRIDAY 6th September
Canadian Greensomes & Vivary Match Seniors Home Game Vs Vivary Fri 6th September
With the forecast of a rainy day in mind the day ended almost rain free and the team had another home win. As with the Open and as reported fast greens by the Rollup group the trend continued. The course in a fantastic condition everyone enjoyed the game.
The challenge however was set after the game and it was to find the meat
in the beef stew served as main course. If I am not mistaken it was won by a couple of people amongst the 24 participants
who managed to find 3 pieces of small cubes beating the rest who only had two amongst loads of gravy and carrots.
Needless to say apart from myself who has opted for a
vegetarian option no one was happy with the quality of food served. I had no option but to lodge a complaint with the staff and hopefully we will not
experience anther scenario like this one again.
As regards to the match itself, we managed to repeat the result of the away game by wining 4 – 2.
James Siabi & Nobby Hodder Lost 1 down
Roger Davis & Paul England Match halved
Mark Cording & John Pearce Won 2 up
Barrie Heath & Ian Fielder Won 2 & 1
John MacOmish & Lyndsey Gage Won 4 & 2
Chris Gingell & Edmondo Paoloni Match Halved
NTP was won by John Pearce and the wine was presented intact !
James Siabi Vice Captain
