3 Man Team All to Count Stableford

Lovely day today for a 3 ball
“all to count”Stableford competition. Not Surprising then that we had a good
turnout of some 45 members. Bert Robinson volunteered to play a rolling
Stableford but I appear not to have received a completed card. The course
looked in superb condition and played accordingly. Modest overall scoring
therefore is probably due to the greens picking up pace making putting more of
a challenge. One total stood out, however, Mike Hone, Chris Basterfield and
Dave Mugridge combined to score a pleasantly round sum of 100 points to win the
day. When we play individual competitions we pay out for two’s not birdies, so
my decision today was to pay out for team two’s and not birdies to make it
worth winning. There were three team two’s which paid out £8.00 per team.

Last month, April, there were only two rolling Stableford
players both scoring the same number of 23 pts, Ken Trott and Albie Benain
therefore each get their £1.50.
Finally, we have learnt from Ray Gudge that Steve Rideout has passed away. Some of our long standing members will remember Steve and will have played with him in the past.
