Tuesday Update
Eight of our finest are off to Lyme Regis for the Jurassic Challenge, so let's hope the Sea Mist stays away...

Another dozen are off in Frank Martin's Outing to Portugal this morning (9th-16th) John Sweet; Nobby; Frank; Billy Hilson; Eric Williams; Bryan Frost; Alan Davis etc - plus a load more from other groups in Frank's very busy Life. We hope they have good Travel Insurance as we might be out of the EU on Friday !!!!

Wednesday Roll-Up has been dedicated to the Summer Knockout so hopefully we can get many of the pairings completed. If you haven't made any alternative arrangements, we will pair you up as you arrive and get you out in 2-balls. As it's usually anarchy on the Tee we will try and have a system that keeps you in the right order as you check-in ready to play in your pairs upstairs. Pity we don't have one of those ball-chutes that we can use.

Depending on who Rolls-Up - those not in the Knockout may well get squeezed-out - but you all were nagged mercilessly to enter the Comp !. If we have gaps then I think the Captain wants to keep everything as 2-balls, so suggest you just pair up and play the same format for a Cup of tea - don't think there will be any Money entry or payout on that day. (Apologies if you have recently joined)

Apologies-
Just had a roasting from Samantha via Ted Bryden - The rat pack event is not cancelled - despite me copying the cancellation notice straight off the club Website !!!!!

Thanks to John Wandless for organising Roll-Up as Bob Barrow loafs up in Whitby.

We have run out of Roll-Up Sheets and Seniors Fixture cards.

Welcome Rob

Today was the eagerly awaited first home match of the year. Following the three away losses to date by the margin of only 4 to 2

Expectation was that we would break our duck.

Considering we won the same fixture 5 and a half to a half last year to be whooped was unexpected.

Sidmouth proved to be a very strong team with some fine individual performances. Greens were still slow and bumpy but really no excuses. Still it was a fine, sunny day, the company was good, our meal was very acceptable and a good time was had by all.
Rushmore G.C. is the next away match this Thursday which is daunting, but things can only get better.

I had a result with the wine which I supplied as the nearest the pin prizes. Sidmouth failed to get anyone on the ninth for their bottle, and our James Siabi who won it for the home team on the sixteenth returned it to me, as wine is not one of his vices.
