Looks like it is farewell to George Wallace who has left CST for pastures green over in Yeovil. George had quite an impact whilst he was here and certainly featured in his fair share of leader tables . Very competitive and seemed to enjoy the 'proper golf', such as Somerset Bowl, Avalon League , Knighton Heath etc
He served on The Seniors Committee and provided many wise words as we thrashed out some of the more serious issues.
We enjoyed having you here George and I know many, especially the early Birds that will really miss you and your good lady.

Seventeen teams played a Three man Bowmaker again today in
pleasant conditions. Scoring in general was very competitive with the winning
total of 80 points. Our John Pearce was rock bottom in last Friday's Foursomes
Comp but storms back today to win with Colin Ireland and Bryan Frost. 48 hrs in
golf is a long time! Albie Benaim and Ken Trott completed their third cards for
handicap purposes and we welcomed another new senior member Chris Rudling.
Chris is a very handy, fifteen handicap, player and already features in the
prizes. 15 team birdies were recorded which means they only netted 50p per
player. Scores on the Doors listed below:-
