Texas Scramble - 9-Holes no Buggies
Heavy overnight rain, buggy ban, 9 holes, Temporary Greens....
..well of course we played.
We initially thought there were no early Birds, but the 1st Tee had been moved well forward due to Tree-Felling and we didn't see them.

Gordon, Mick, Mark & ano played for fun and even did 1-4 again
Late Roll-Up gradually built up, with Captain & Vice with a crack Team over at Axe-Cliff.
We thought there were 7, but Andy was just up on a Sainsbury Delivery to Dickie and said "I wouldn't even go Fishing in this" - and left.
Two 3-Balls and the draw was made. 9-Hole scramble, 2 Drives & 1/10th Handicap.
Mick, Maurice & Alan had 6.2 shots.
Mike, Dickie & John had 5.8
A steady start by Mike Hone & Co, Par,Par,Par,Par against The Davis Divas who started Bogey, Par, Bogey, Bogey - set the teams apart.
Then the Divas bagged Birdy Birdy on 5th & 6th pulled them back level again. Mr Davis confessed, when teeing of on the 5th, that he was not aware that the Pin was still on the Main Green.
Both Teams took 10 shots to complete 16 through 18 and it was just the decimal points that separated the teams as Alan /Aldridge & Arnold took the £3 Winnings by just 0.4.
Attempts were made to DQ the winners after card scrutiny - but by then they had already pocketed the money and no longer cared.
