Pre update update:- See Summer Knockout update -
just need 4 more names before we draw for 32 1st round matches, then we have until April 30th to Complete.

Surely you are of more value than a 'blank' - if you subsequently can't play a Match, then you can simply conceded and your opponent moves on.

..and it's FREE this Year.

Updates:
From Ray:

Hi John, I popped in and had a chat with Brian Hodder today, he is improving with the swellings reduced dramatically, he said that once he has finished Chemo in 3 months time, he is hoping to return to golf at CST. He sends his regards to all.

Just thought that the committee would like to know.

Also reports that Des Denning is still in the wars, in Musgrove having a few investigative procedures.

Phil Hunt may not be around much for a few months as he commences intensive Chemo treatments, 5 days a week !

From Captain:
I have a 4-ball Voucher for the beautiful Stover course, kindly donated - any offers please for my Charity - has to be worth a fair chunk of change surely.

Monday 25th - Match with the Ladies- raffle prizes would be much appreciated.

We are off to Bridport today with the hope of avoiding the usual 6-0 defeat with my cunning combinations of Golfing Goodness.

Roll Up:

Faced with another very playable day, reduced numbers rolled up for this very 'Interesting' Format - 4 Players all playing Individually , with a medal on the Front 9 .

Consensus was that putting on those greens, with intermittent  sand and lots of holes was pretty tough...except for Maurice of course who burned up the course.

Now I'm not picking on any group, but if you were in one group where a certain Individual took 72 shots for the front 9 - I think it may have been rather slow and distracting, but the player had no choice but to putt out on every hole, even when he had reached 15 on one hole !
We think the pairs Format is better, or just a 3-ball if it is individual.

Farmer Bob spent a couple of hours on the results and providing you had put the Gross Score in Column A, for either Format - then he could reach a Total, One card just had Numbers in the Nett/Points Column and being unable to ascertain if this was Gross or Nett a Red Pen was drawn through it.

The result was split into 2 Divisions as per normal , but with 14 in Div 1 and 28 in Div 2 it was a bit 'bottom heavy'.

Doing a quick re-calc with handicaps a better way may have been to have 3 Divisions with 14 players in each, which today worked out as
1-18 for Div1
19-23 for Div 2
23.1- 43 for Div 3

We could have paid £4.50 & £2.50 for  First 2 in each Division.

Obviously we don't know the split at the start, but it is fairly easy to calculate from the results.
