Large turnout today for the first qualifier of the season.
Medal
rounds off White tees is usually the least popular monthly format
so it is pleasing to see 26 players competing in Division One and
almost the same number of players 29 competing in Division Two.
Standard scratch
was calculated at 72 and this resulted
in only one player having a handicap reduction.

being cut from 25 to 24.
Fred Oliver also lost 0.4 but no-one else was adjusted which can be seen on the main site.
Also well done to Martin B., fresh from his holiday in taking Division One.
Malcolm had an amazing recovery, with an 9,4,6,9 start..
he completed the back 9 in Nett Par 34 strokes.

It's disappointing that not every card was entered on the Computer - which is essentially the whole reason we hold a Qualifier. I found at least 2, Messrs Arnold & Gardener. Derek must be lucky to be credited with his "2" !!!
What you do with your card affects everyone else in the Competition.
I'm amazed Derek survived the DQ Pen , but knowing the Adjudication Team, reasons must have been given for these cards not being entered.
Also a couple of no-shows early on meant a slot was wasted and poor old Terry Rutherford, just back from USA had to drive home . All it takes is a call to 30231 and your slot could be used..they were queing up in the Pro Shop.
