Swing into Spring

Twenty ladies and forty seniors played today in our 'Swing into Spring' 2 out of 3 better ball competition.
Early on the wind made for a chilly start but it soon warmed up to be a glorious day.

Ze Buffet is now Open
The shot gun start made a difference and allowed everyone to have lunch together which was very well received, big thanks to Head Chef Andy.

As usual the generosity of people was demonstrated by the number of raffle prizes that were donated which meant that we were able to raise the terrific amount of £216 which is divided between the two charities Guide Dogs                                     and Newlife,

The nearest the pin prizes went to Fran Branchflower for the ladies on the 9th and to Dave Mugridge for the men on the 16th, well done both.

The overall winning teams were
1st   Maz Tricker/ Colin Ireland/ Dave Mugridge
                      81Pts      £15.00 Each

2nd Roisin Buree/ Bob Barrow/ Bill Hilson
                      78Pts      £10.00 Each

3rd Paula Bowles/ Roger Hinds/ Keith Branchflower
                       77Pts £5.00 Each.

I am sure this was a great event enjoyed by everyone.
My warm regards go to the Lady Captain, Donna Adey, who puts so much effort, thought and enthusiasm into making these competitions work so well.
Her little baskets of Easter eggs for all the Ladies were excellent.

Thank you also to all the helpers Jan WB and Jimmy Mac for doing the raffle, Barbara Wilton for decorating the tables beautifully with daffodils,

to Bob Barrow for scrutinising the cards ( Bob is nearly always last to join the meal) and to the Cricket G.C.staff, Pro-Shop and catering, who all pulled together to make the day a great success.

Last but not least thanks to all the Ladies who took part, you are a small section but a real pleasure to join, especially on days like today.

Let's all look forward to the Summer.

Peter Spencer-Farr   Seniors Captain.
