***Turkey Trot***
The Turkey Trot has
been re-scheduled for the 19th December 2018. The draw will remain
as it was originally and is shown under Internal Competitions. If you are
unable to play, please liaise with the Pro Shop.
Good
turn out today with 21 early players filling their full slot and 27 later
players all of which took advantage of the dry weather and light winds. In
addition we had two players completing a rolling stableford.
This
was a three man 2 from 3 discard competition. Early groups
dominated the winners enclosure but the spread of winning scores is quite narrow
and but for one or two better than par numbers any team could have prevailed.
The high standard is further confirmed by the number of birdies achieved
which amounted to 19. Each birdie is only worth 42p per team player, perhaps this
can be taken into consideration when voting for a modest increase to the 50p
entry fee at our next A G M?
It
gives me pleasure to note that of the three 2's accomplished Geoff Dean, yet
again, registered his by sinking a 25 yard putt on the ninth green.
Full
scores on the doors and winning amounts are listed below. The rolling
stableford scores are Bob Rees with an impressive 35 pts and Derek
Gardener with 24.
