Although none of our players really covered themselves in glory, we all had a good day out playing some large undulating greens that had quite a few of us wondering how to overcome them. It was good to play with other Seniors from various clubs within the Somerset Golf Union.

Next years event will be held at WELLS  G.C.

Flash News.....

We have just been informed that Chard's Manor Court Scouts came First in the Tesco Blue Tag collection. They will received a very welcome £2970.00 for equipment, making an outdoor area .
Our  daughter, Catharine , who runs that Scout Group,  would like to thank you all very, very much for supporting  the event.
Thanks a million
John & Diana (Pearce)

Lots of the big boys away today at Farringdon so a modest Roll-Up on a beautifully sunny day.

We met our new General Manager, Sean Whelan today who stayed to witness our Roll-Up and chat to some of us. Sounds very experienced & confident.

33 Players today, with Bernie Skeels playing individual...which sods law made us 1 short at the late roll up and talk of the Phantom Pro arose. Chris B imparted so many rules on Bob W that he drove to Crewkerne to pick up Keith to make a Three.

Everything great on the course, with greens nearly back to normal.

Bob the Builder was leader in Clubhouse for quite a while on 78 , along with Paul ( now called Dave) and Keith Branchmanager, but then came Mr Hone looking confident and threw down a 79 and looked to have won the day. They were shaken when Chris B came in and claimed 85, but the Scorecard said different and it was all a cruel tease .
