4th October Roll Up Report
Cyder Cup Foursomes
The weather Gods are looking down on CST Golf Course, thus enabling us to go into day 2 of the Cyder Cup ,The Foursomes without any sign of rain.
The Captains Team and Vice Captains team had 13 points each after the Fourball event on Monday.
Today, Barrie the Vice Captain was playing, having returned from his quick holiday, and therefore leading his team, in the hope of taking the overall lead with only the Singles to play next Monday 9th October.
Once again the pairings proved to be quite equal, with the first 5 matches returning with 5 points each. The next 3 games returning, looked as though the Vice Captains return had instilled some boost to his teams play with 4 points to 2points taking him into a slight lead, however not to be out done the Captains team must have heard that their Captain had won his match, so they gathered their skills together , so the emphasis was not to let him down. Fortunately although going down in 2 of the last 3 matches, the Captains team finally came out winners on the day 15 points to 13 points.
This leaves the Running Total : Captain 28 Pts Vice Captain 26 Pts.(Very Close for the next round)
The hardest format is now behind us ,and it is now down to pure golfing skills when we take to the course again on Monday 9th, to test our skills in the Singles Matches.
Remember the handicaps for the Singles is 90% off the Lowest handicapper
Twelve of our Seniors are away at Farrington Park G.C. on Friday taking part in The County Seniors Stableford, hopefully we will come home with some prizes, thus keeping CST on the map.
