Stableford Qualifier

Brought about a raft of handicap reductions - as John Sweet slashed to 45.3  after scoring 4 points on 8th & 17th, with 3 points on 6,10, 12, 13,16 etc

Wow, that was a busy one. Nearly didn't happen as fog persisted in valleys but finally cleared in time for earlies to get off on time.
,,then they started coming and just didn't stop !

2 'New Guys' - Joe Kotwica   with Polish ancestry but with a broad Gloucester accent and the return of Dave Hannaford who keeps on retiring / money grabbing/ retiring   as well all do as 65 approaches .

Joe said 'Hello' with an eagle 2 on 6th Hole...

I reckon, 10% of the entire Club Membership was with us Yesterday...

Interesting on 9th hole as tee was so far back that those with professional looking swings, Eric etc, had problems taking it back low & slow  with the immediate upslope behind the markers.
We were all going to rush in and complain..but hit lovely drives , so just moved on.

[04/03, 16:47] Clive Fisk: Popped in to see Dickie Hall today, although he's very positive, there are a few serious health problems he's dealing with, would welcome visitors. He gave me a lot of CST golf clothing to pass on to Jim which he hopes will get some donations for the Captain's Charity. Also wants to sell his electric Motocaddy M1 DHC. Offers over £200!

[04/03, 17:24] +44 7810 402601: £225 OPENING BID!

Costing around £750 on-line -  and Dickie's comes complete with the optional wine-rack and cooler .

Today we are expecting Mick Aldridge & Marie's  return from Tenerife.

Unfortunately Marie has spent much of that time in  Hospital with Lung / breathing issues. They may have to travel with medical assistance. Both of them are not too good at this time and their family is making plans for their future care. Thanks to SK for the regular updates as he is in close contact with the family.

Gentlemen.  Due to the improvement in the weather and the current condition of the course Wednesdays Monthly Stableford will be a qualifier. 95% Handicap off the Blue Tees.  Standard Winter Rules apply.  pick & place fairways only.  It is understood that not all fairways are easily defined and so if you are unsure ask your playing partner, if they are unsure then play it as it lies.

We should only be a couple of weeks away from being back on the Yellow Tees and so we need to get used to conditions as they are and so from today we will not be playing pick clean and place everywhere unless I specifically say so. Top Tip.  Keep it on the fairway, then you can clean it 😀 KH
