Ok, we fibbed as it did rain for a while !

5th Group whizzed around until we caught up with the Earlies..who had let a few Green Fees through. Thanks to Farmer Bob, Jolly Roger and new-Knee Ian for also letting us through on the 8th..as we were in Clubhouse before Midday.

Bryan Frost, born 12th March 1939 - yes - Today was his 85th Birthday

We have just been passed the news that Bryan slipped away at Midday today. His Son Mark was beside him , having been called in by the Hospital.

Richard Forster had been in earlier to see him but he was not able to communicate in any way.  Bryan and Richard were very close and often chatted away from the Golf Course.

Richard informed us the just last weekend  Bryan had driven his Lady Friend, Anita,  up to Heathrow.

Quite a character, dour Yorkshire humour and ever-present on the Blog Pages - I'll dig out a few pictures - but most will be with his famous Blue-Mac on.

Gentleman, after reviewing our first “Blind Draw Game” there are a few tweaks that can be made to make it run a little more smoothly, and we will be adding this type of game to our roll-up list. On these days, you will still roll-up as usual and a “draw” will still take place, to determine your “playing group only”

In future it will be “team 2’s” and not “individual birdies” if there is a “2” in your blind draw group you will get a share. The groups will be randomly selected at the end of the day by computer as opposed to the Mk 1 hand.
