Cyder Cup Day 2 - Foursomes

A player is entitled to prefer the lie of the ball when the ball lies on a closely-mown area through the green. A “closely-mown area” is any area of the course that is cut to fairway height or less and includes paths cut through the rough and the fringe/apron around the green. If the ball does not lie on a closely-mown area, e.g. the rough, the player cannot take a preferred lie under this specimen Local Rule.

AMAZINGLY - the 2 star players from WED have been rewarded with pairings against Farmer Bob and Dave Mugridge..Billy was heard, as he left the Club Yesterday,  saying "I don't care who I play -as they are going down, just like Agar & Dawson|"

A decent day as far as the weather was concerned to play round 2 of The Cyder Cup. V.C’s team had another good day on the course winning the day 6 to 4 putting them up by 4 points after 2 rounds. With the final round consisting of 24 single matches, there is still a chance for Captain’s team to rescue the match and not lose to V.C’s team as traditionally been the case in recent years.

Foursomes format either suits the pair and they perform well or it doesn’t and the team struggles. From the scores it was obvious that the opponents had the better results and won their games easier. The biggest win was by Keith Branchflower and Bill Hilson winning by an impressive score of 9 & 7 against Richard Agar & Mike Dawson. With 24 singles matches to be played on Friday, anything is possible and hopefully the format will suit my team better than the previous two rounds.
