Cyder Cup Singles - The Final Chapter

Captain left early to write his report and flog himself with birch twigs.,

The final round of the World Famous Cyder Cup was played today in pretty good weather conditions and the Captain’s side were well & truly beaten (9 to 15) by the V. C’s team. The overall results after 3 rounds were +10 for V. C. I was told as captain I should be able to decide anything and that will go, however in order to brag about beating a much better all-round players on V.C’s side, I let Mark get away with murder and have the best players on his side and the overall result shows that. A lesson to be learned and that is don’t be stupid as you can’t beat the odds. Maybe next year’s V.C. will be as cheeky as this year’s and pull the same trick on him (end of banter).

I must say this is my favourite competition of all in the seniors series and everyone including those who lost enjoyed it. I am already looking forward to next year’s event. Well played all and thank you for making it a fun week.

Ouch !

With 14 Shots, George turned back the clock to go 3 up on Chris at one point...but a half on the 18th left Chris winning by a single-hole as George showed some of his '2-Handicap' touches from 1977....

..reckon we can sell this one to the Club ???/
