Battle of Britain

Wednesday Game ( Today)

See Roll-Up Schedule for game - 4-Ball Team with 2 playing 4BBB Medal & 2 Playing Stab - then switch after 9 Holes - should be 90% Handicap.

Captain didn't quite get enough names to do a Draw, so we need to be slick and not too much hanging around.

As soon as we get some 4-balls arriving, hopefully around 08:00 he can get them out for the 08:26; 42; 50 slots.

Then he can deal with slightly later arrivals ( by 08:30 please)  for 08:58, 09:14; 22; 30; 38; 46; 02 etc so plenty of slots but we don't want to have a large gathering so please be flexible and play as directed by skipper.

Par score would be 18 for the Stab, subtracted from 36 for the Medal - then add the result of the 2 Pairs so that a total of 36 would be Par - so you are looking for 30 to win we estimate.

Captain’s Charity Open Thursday 17th September 2020

An entry list is put up on the board next to the pro shop for the above event. Entry fee is £32 which includes Coffee and Bacon Bap on arrival and a three course meal served after golf. This is the main charity event of the year organised by Stuart Pope. We are planning to enter 3 teams of 8 for the 4BBB competition where all the points are added towards the team. We have two teams of 8 already and will need a third team. Please put your names down if interested in participating.

Seniors Battle of Britain Monday 24th August 2020

We haven’t had the best of weather recently and today was no exception to start with. There were 65 participating in today’s Battle of Britain trophy and raised £130 for RAFA ( Royal Airforce Association). I was quite surprised how many charity events we play and raise good amount for charities.  and it became apparent by re-scheduling all the cancelled matches so close to each other. There are quite a few of them. Thanks to all Seniors for your donations.

Steve Atyeo will be pleased with his new handicap of 7.8. He had a reduction of 1 shot for his performance on the championship competition and additional 1 shot deduction for exceptional play before today’s game as a result of which he had further reduction of 0.8. Handicap changes following today’s competition are as follows:
