Notice relating to
Memorial Trophy
When I submitted the report for
the day, I listed the winners as well as prizes for the winning teams which
included me. Keith our treasurer has brought to my attention that all the prize
money traditionally gone to the nominated charity . If any of those who thought they have won some
money and are not happy with this statement, can approach me discretely and I
will reimburse their winnings personally.
If however you are happy with the decision, I thank you personally for
your generosity.
Seniors Club Championship (Scratch Cup &
Handicap Plate)
A very interesting day as far as the
weather was concerned. It was far too difficult to read which direction wind
was blowing. One moment it was blowing left to right, then straight into your
face before changing direction again behind you. Scores suggest that it wasn’t
easy for anyone as no one managed a par round. Therefore there were no handicap
changes were applied. You could say it
was a none-qualifying qualifier lol
It was pretty clear from the start and going by the previous results that only a handful of guys were in contention for the Scratch Cup and this year was no exception. Danny beating Dave Mugridge on Back 9 count (78 strokes) with Martyn Hartley a further two strokes behind them. Well done Danny for becoming the seniors champion 2020.
The Handicap Plate was won by David Taylor with an impressive 71 net score considering that he had a 9 on the 3rd, followed by Mark Cording (72) and John Evans with a further shot behind him. Well done you three.
A total of 9 birdies were achieved earning
£2.50 per birdie. Details listed below:
