Friday 31st  July 2020
KO Finals and Canadian Greensomes

Saturday Update:-
JW has completed the Draw for Monday, which is Round 1 of the Challenge Cup. For our newer members ( Keith has issued a revised list of Members) - it would be great if you entered this Comp, as it will occupy 4 Roll-Ups in the near future and all are available for you to sign-up on line - or just ask the Pro Shop to slot you in.

From JW:-

Can you also reiterate that these are the official start times and not what appears on the the club site “book a tee time slot”. If you look, you will see that people have block booked times to enable us to carry out the competition, but then as late as this evening people have slotted themselves in, which contradicts the official start list. No further changes will be made to this list.

Many thanks, John Wandless

On a beautiful hot sunny day 20 of us rolled up to played today’s Canadian Greensomes. We had a new member Paul Taylor joining us today and having an instant success by occupying 3rd   spot along with his playing partner Ian Housham. Chris Gingell & Paul England splitting the other two by finishing 2nd. Well done you guys.

The highlight my day was to chip in from 80 yards. It was a beautifully controlled shot, but my playing partners thought it was a tad lucky as the flag stopped the ball going 40 yards pass the pin. Today’s  table of results are as follows:

There was an error in my previous report. Ian & Paul finished 3rd . Please correct

Captain failed to mention all his hard work in organising this Roll-Up, which remember is only the 2nd one we have done in this new way.

He checked everyone in on arrival and collected entry. By offering Lisa an immediate copy of the entry sheet - it obviated the need to wait at the door as it gave her a list, required under CV-19 Regs, for Track & Trace should the worst happen.

It proved difficult for our masked -Captain as many who had signed up on the Roll-Up on the list, simply didn't arrive and he was unsure how we stood for Tee-Times.  Apologies to Dickie Hall who was left as a Singleton at the end and simply went home.  Typical Dickie, no complaints as he drove back to Jennie who needs plenty of TLC these days.

Please continue ,as you have all been doing, to comply with all the new regulations, as it would just take one occurrence of CV-19 to set us a long way backwards as we have seen all around the Country.

Still missing Contact Details for some of you guys, can then send you an updated list of all Seniors members.  Jim Lauchlan, Paul Taylor, Paul Newton, Mark Coleman., Billy Vance, Richard Redwood  ...if anyone has Email & Mobiles send to me and I'll update, thanks...Current List has 118 Members...

john.pearce.windy@gmail.com 07752 429467 or CSTSeniors in WhatsApp etc

Couldn't resist posting this one, to show to the captain that not everything you come up with works perfectly first time, and also to remember Seniors that we have seen since March - we miss you all, Geoff, Alan T, Vulnerable Vic, Robin etc

Turn up the sound a little....

Finally , Jeremy & Gordon meet their match after a dominant performance in all preceding games.

Started with Birdie  ( nett eagle as Nick called it) then another Birdie on the 2nd...

Look closely, it's only a Virtual Handshake as the ever-vigilant Lisa reminded us that Trophy Presentations are not yet permitted...

..yes I know it's Paul really, but Phil Taylor is more 'catchy' - but it's taken 10 Years for him to find us since Chedington Closed
