4-Balls now on Agenda - VPar Comp 1 Completed
Hello
fellow Seniors
For
this Wednesday plan is to run a fun game of medal competition. Again this
purely for bragging rights and in preparation of upcoming qualifiers and
non qualifying competitions that are on their way as we get to some normality
soon.
If
you are not registered for VPAR you can still have your scores registered. If
your playing partner is VPAR registered, he can add you to his game
(instruction below).
It
was quite exciting yesterday checking Barrie's progress by clicking on the
leaderboard button as he ripped the course apart. Everything is live and you
see your own position as well as others in the competition. Give it a try as it
is fun.
Only
one person in each group will need a mobile phone to register the scores.
Tomorrow's
game is called "Wednesday Individual Medal". Click on the Play
button, select the game and press continue. You can add players that
aren't included in your group on the next screen. On the Top right hand corner
click on +Player, enter his name, handicap and email address and
click on create player.
Regards
James
Have to congratulate the Captain for his sheer persistence in getting this Comp going with new Technology, we appreciate not everyone can participate, but it may be short lived anyway as we should be able to start a Roll-Up system soon.
Probably, within the next week or so the Captain hopes to collate and pre-draw Tee-Slots from those who indicate they wish to play - so that we can still turn up just ahead of your Tee-Time as per normal until facilities are opened.
So, with about 20 Playing in the June 1st Stableford, 16 managed a Score Card.
I was out with Ian Fielder, who in the event NR's - mainly due to the difficulty of finding the ball sometimes, but playing off 23 now, he will be a dangerous player id he continues to improve on some of the great shots he hit - flashes of his old consistency.
As you will see on the Booking - it is back up to speed now and 3 & 4 Balls can be booked. Obviously if we wish to maintain spacing - we don't want too much of a mix-up.
Wednesday looks to be mainly 2-balls, but Friday is forming up as 3-Balls - so let's get those gaps filled up.
Monday looks to be mainly 4-balls after the earlies, so it would be nice to pad that out, I have 1 slots available at 08:42 - (Dave Potter & Norman have taken 2 slots) so let me know or phone Pro Shop.Presumable captain will have a look and decide a Comp for us to play - 4BBB etc.
( Ignore Date as I guess that is the date James set up the Comp- it was June 1st )
Come on Guys - let's have a profile Picture !
Barrie was wandering around the Course last Friday like a Bulldog chewing a wasp - but today he was a bit of a Star and I'm sure was a great comfort to Norman, who had the pleasure of entering those scores.
...looking at the scores on 8 & 9 and then that poor finish - how good could it have been I wonder ?
Norman made 5 Points on 8&9 , then Birdied & Par on 17 & 18 - so their 4BBB would have been close to 50 !!
..and a couple from Mr Sweet - some of the ones he sends are very dodgy !
and of course the wit of the Irish wins again...
