New Year’s Cracker 2 from 3 Stableford
Finally the game managed to go ahead after two previous cancellations. 12 teams of 3 (one lady plus 2 seniors) went out in the hope they can beat the weather. Unfortunately only half managed to achieve this and the teams teeing off later had to deal with some tricky conditions.
Having overcome some confusion on the number of holes to play, we decided to play 18 holes as opposed to the planned 15 to avoid getting amongst the EGGS and the two 4 ball early birds.
Winners were Mairi Wandless, Bob Barrow and Lyndsey Gage with a very credible score of 81 points finishing ahead of Lin Wallwork, Alan Chance and Stuart Pope (B9) from Kim Clarke, John Wandless and Mike (birthday boy) Hone. Well done to the table toppers.
We managed to raise £74 for charity which was shared between the ladies & seniors captain’s charities. Thanks for all those Raffle Prizes.
Note:- We did try to disqualify Bob but couldn’t manage to find a reasonable grounds for his disqualification. We will get him one day!!
