Storm Atiyah hits South West but peters out by 08:00
A Dozen Eggs make up a Scramble whilst just 18 compete in a the Roll-Up.
Only 1 Early Group, but that was more than enough to take the money today with 84 Points on just 15 Holes, in a 2 from 3.

Ian Frost, David Taylor and Neil Cochran as Roger drowns his sorrows in a nice Cuppa.
5 early birds and 15 late starters enjoyed some nice
sunshine and a constant strong wind, making the score from the winning team of
83 points a fantastic effort. So
congratulations to Neil Cochran, Ian Frost and Dave Taylor. The odd number in the early starters meant
Clive Fisk 32 pts and Gordon Brent 33 pts were left to do the rolling
stableford.
The main competition was a 2 from 3 discard stableford
with the 10th and 15th played as par 5's.
With a par 3/4/5 also being discarded,
the winning score was 23 under par.
There was some amusement when Bob announced that the Vice
Captain's team was bottom of the pile.
However after studying the cards they had not claimed their extra shots
on the 10th, so in fact they finished 5th on count back, so sincere
commiserations to Messrs. MacDonald, Arnold and Holmes.
1. Neil Cochran/
Ian Frost/ Dave Taylor. 83 pts. £4.00 each
2. Colin Ireland/
Barrie Heath/ John Wandless.
74 pts. £2.00 each
3. Chris Rudling/
Bob Barrow/ Martin Leigh.
73 pts
4. Noddy Hodder/
Mike Hone/ Peter Spencer-Farr 72
pts
5. Mark Cording/
Rod Stevens/ Roger Davis.
66 pts. 37 back 9
6. Jim MacDonald/
Maurice Arnold/ Richard Holmes. 66
pts 36 back 9
There were just two 2's with Rod Stevens and Neil Cochran
both achieving them on the 9th. Each
team receives £4.50, so even my maths says £1.50 each.
Given the lack of time to reorganise the Cracker on the
16th, we have retained the rollup times and James can decide and advise the
comp' details, as he returns on the 12th, so watch this space.

JKP with the EGGS....
Most of my time was spent with the EGGS as they have a long established tradition that if you have a 'Significant' Birthday, then you treat everyone to breakfast.
They went out in 4 3-Balls for a Texas Scramble, but unless you had the full title at the top of your card you were in trouble
This was to prove the winning card with a score of 59.83 2 clear of next best so the Birthday Boy takes the Trophy.
Then it was time for a lovely breakfast consisting of Egg, Sausage, Bacon, Beans,Mushrooms, Black Pudding and lashings of toast.
The EGGS plus a few 'Social' Guests
Then Alan Davis began the Prize Giving for the Year from this highly organised group.
Sorry Maureen, more Pope Silverware...
