A Wet & Windy Waltz

As I left my house Friday morning my next door neighbour looked over at me with a
quizzical look. I assured her I would not be so daft as to be playing golf in strong wind
and rain. Wrong I was and so were seventeen other intrepid Seniors. This was a bowmaker
competition with one to count on the first six holes and so on. One team gave up and
Brian Hodder retired after a slip. Do trust all is well with him! The team of Gordon, Brian
and Clive were runaway winners with the only, very creditable, under par score of 75points.
Worth a mention is Bob Barrow who birdied the first two holes half of four achieved.
Cyder Cup next week, hope the weather improves.
Clive informed us that Gordon Brent is playing the best Golf of his Life and nearly back to the days when he played off 6. Unfortunately he is playing for the Vice-Captain next week so I pity whoever comes up against him.
