3-Ball Stableford...Literally
There was a bit of a gathering for the late roll-up but the rain was incessant and most of us gave up by 10:00 despite Mike Hone's ever more optimistic forecasts.
Not sure if anyone else made it out.

Ian Griffiths Health Update
Hi Seniors
Heard from Ian yesterday with an update to his health as follows:
Still waiting for an appointment to go to Southmead Hospital
Bristol for a blast to clear the blockage in his gall bladder.
Has now got an internal bleed and having an internal inspection on
Friday 16th to find the problem, at Yeovil hospital.
He wishes to be remembered to all and hopes to be knocking some
golf balls within the next few weeks.
Regards Roger Stone
Match Report V Cannington G.C. 13th August 2019
Tuesday 13th August saw our return home fixture against Cannington
Golf Club.
We had been successful away to Cannington and were confident of
beating them
on home soil and so it proved with a five to one victory. As I do
the report I can make
excuses for the one loss registered. Mike King and myself were
pretty well thrashed
however only to loose by 3 & 2 was a result. Our opposition
both with handicaps of 20
pared the first six holes, made a mess of hole seven but finished
the front nine par, birdie.
Ouch, three down after nine could have been a slaughter!
Great day, weather was fine, the course softer due to recent rains
but with the greens still
slick. Fine food and good company.
For the record:-
Peter Spencer-Farr/Mike King Lost 3 & 2
Dave Mugridge/Derek Gardener Won 3 & 2
Mark Cording/Nobby Hodder ( Dog Licence ) Won 7 & 6
Barrie Heath/James Siabi Won 5 & 3
Roger Stone/Roger Davis Won 5 & 4
Frank Martin/ Brain Frost Won 6 & 4
Match Result Won 5 to 1.
Congratulations to Dave Mugridge who was nearest the pin on hole 9
and won the bottle of wine.
Next up Bridport G.C. at home on Monday 19th, could be a tougher
proposition.
Peter Spencer-Farr Seniors Capt.
