Monthly Medal

Today was the first day of the much anticipated move to a three division competition. Although Medal

off the white tees is the least favourite choice of our members 57 seniors did enter and were divided

into sections with handicaps 0 to 16, 17 to 23 and 24 and above. Prize money will be shared across the

divisions equally but will vary dependent on actual playing numbers per division but with the first in each group receiving a similar amount.

This was another fine sunny day producing even faster greens and bouncy fairways. Head Green keeper Dave is hoping for some rain as the course is beginning to dry out and lose it's lush green look.

Full results and finishing positions are shown on the club web site and on our notice board together with

handicap adjustments. The major movers however see James Siabi cut from 14 to 13 and Dave Taylor

and Brian Marsh increased from 14 to 15 and 19 to 20 respectively.

There were only two '2's today recorded by Micky Banfield and Gordon Brent who each receive £12, good stuff.
