Mixed Medley
& The Ladies Green-somes Competition
Friday 17th May saw the annual running of the Mr & Mrs Trophy in conjunction with the Ladies Section. This competitive Greensomes Competition did not take place last year and Donna First-Adey, the Ladies Captain, was keen it should go ahead this year in case it was lost forever.

Friday 17th May saw the annual running of the Mr & Mrs Trophy in conjunction with the Ladies Section. This competitive Greensomes Competition did not take place last year and Donna First-Adey, the Ladies Captain, was keen it should go ahead this year in case it was lost forever.
Its inaugural year was 2005 and there are many familiar names on the 'Rolling Pin' trophy making it a prestigious one to win. For a number of varying factors
only seven ladies entered and we had a random draw to select the mixed pairings. Again, as were the combined events earlier this year, this was a fun and friendly
get together of our two sections which followed by a light lunch and presentation was enjoyed by all.

Big congratulations to Rosa and Mark, they were in a buggy and must have got very cold in the overcast conditions ….
The next combined event is the Seniors Mixed Open on Tuesday 11th June. We already have many visitor entries but we hope to fill up the day with as many home pairs as we can.

Only a handful turned up for today's mixed vegetable soup format. As if we seniors are well in control of our cards and can easily mark our cards with our eyes shut, the powers to be had decided that we should play what I have termed as Mixed vegetable soup format (4BBB holes 1-6, Greensomes for holes 7-12 and Foursomes for holes 13-18).
Roger Davis volunteered to play Rolling Stableford and he came back with 37 points and a birdie and going by the results he may have made the right choice.
