Four Ball Better Ball Competition.
Friday 26th April 2019
Yellow tees- 90% handicap Allowance
Miserable wet start today but still forty-eight
seniors turned out for a four ball better ball competition and were
rewarded as the conditions improved throughout the morning. There were
several playing feats worthy of special mention. The two Bobs, Barrow
and White won the comp with a total of 41 points but it was Bob White
who shone scoring 22 points on the back nine including two birdies.
Terry Rutherford birdied the tenth with a jammy chip from about ninety
yards and Martin Bargery was on the card fifteen times to claim fifth
place for his team. Sorry Jim but take solace, your two three pointers
were invaluable!
We had only seven birdies overall with three teams registering two each making the payout worthwhile at £1.80 each.

..and then of course a whole bunch were up for Dickie's Fish & Chip Night, well looked after by Denise and her team and excellent food. Well done to Dickie & Jenny , who raised another chunk of change for the Guide Dogs and Margaret for her generous hamper to boost sales.
