Wednesday 16th January
4-Ball Medalford

Funny old day today, less people turned up to play, probably having seen the weather forecast, but three
teams of four braved the early rain and set off into the gloom. When the five teams scheduled to play from 9am looked out of the changing rooms the heavens opened and two teams abandoned and returned to the bar. A  group of earlies were soaked and walked in but the other two stalwart bedraggled teams soldiered on. At that precise point the rain stopped, at times the sun shone through and all the way to the eighteenth conditions were very pleasant. So, we had a competition and the scoring was very acceptable with the winning score of nett 23 worthy of winning on any day. Not surprisingly however the two early groups that had the worst conditions did not do so well. Plenty of birdies were registered and paid the sum of 30p each.

Burn's Lunch Friday 25th Jan.

Numbers for the lunch this year are down on last year possibly because the meal then was only average. This year with our Head Chef Andy sourcing quality haggis directly from across the border (putting the order in next Monday) the offering will be first class. Therefore,  please support this function if you can, fun will be had by all!
