Texas Scramble
Hard to believe it's January as the weather is so conducive to
golf, threats of the approach of 'The Beast from the East' seem far away.
So today 47 members took advantage of the conditions and played a 3
or 4 ball Texas Scramble. Two of the teams included 4 players to
accommodate the odd total.
I heard a comment that four ball teams were at
a disadvantage and had never won. I had no proof to argue against that
assertion so it is pleasing to see that indeed today a four ball team
did prevail with the only sub 60 nett score.
We did have the same scramble competition last Monday and the
scores on the day were on average much lower maybe many were still jaded after New Year's Eve.
