Winter league Round III and roll-Up
Ten players today, who were not involved in the Winter League,
played in an impromptu individual stableford competition.
As they were following the main four ball
field play was slower than usual and apologies to members who found themselves held up. The format
agreed by them was
prizes for the first three places with no allocation for birdies.
Consequently, without doing are normal chart, here is a list of
the players with their scores and

At last we have managed to
start the Winter League and get some scores on the board. There was a very cold
start to the day but the temperature steadily improved along with the scoring
over 50% of the field managed 40 points or more. The highest achievers being
the last group in Captain, Peter Spencer
Farr and partner Roger Hinds with a splendid round of 45pts closely followed by Ian Rowlands + R Young
44pts and in third place Jerry Stephens +
Roger Withers 43pts. Congratulations all round. So the bar has already
been set very high but I am sure there will be a few chasing them come the next
round on Wednesday 9th January
