Friday 21st December
Shortest Day 3,2,1 Stableford

First flash news from Captain..Monday 24th Roll-Up has been changed to 2 from 3 Stableford

Today ten teams played a Reverse Waltz in dry but very blustery weather.

Not so many as usual turned out to play perhaps the threat of Tesco running out of sprouts had something to do with it!

I had a shock on the eighth tee when I heard a banshee

wail from the middle of the tenth fairway. It turned out to be our Mr Pearce holing out from distance.

Well done but if he ever gets a hole in one we all will need ear plugs.

The winners today of David, Bob and Maurice recorded the fine score of 79 points which in today's conditions was excellent.
In spite of the recent rain I think that the
Course and Greens played remarkably well and our keepers
should be congratulated.
Nick Gabb played a rolling stableford and despite having not played for a while scored a creditable 33 points.
