Turkey Trot Report
Friday 1st December 2017 Individual Stableford

53 hardy seniors played today in our coldest day so far with the wind factor being the main problem although in lovely blue skies.
After the game I was in the pro shop when in came the runaway winner of division 2 thanking Aaron as he recently had a lesson with him, needlessly to say Aaron was his usual quiet and shy self  as we all know.

On a more serious note there were 8 people disqualified as no card returned= Roger Withers/Jerry Stephens/Mick Aldridge/Gordon Everett/Dave Taylor/ Derek Gardner/ Nick George & Norman Markby, plus Alastair Purcell who entered his card in the computer but did not hand it in for checking.
I know of 1 or 2 who did not finish their round as they had to rush off for an appointment, I admit that 5 hours is far too long for a round of golf but please try to pop in the pro shop and Aaron will do your card as a non-return, it causes so much more work wandering were the card is at the end of the day when most players have gone home to food and a warm fire.
One last note,Keith Branchflower is about to issue a list of seniors who still have not paid the £3 subscription which was due as from the AGM. .
There were only two 2s today paying £12.50 per person - Roger Davis & Phil Dewar

Sorry guys another moan about today. At least 4 players ignored the signs around the 9th hole & walked straight down to the green, if you are seen by the green keeper or the GM you will be reprimanded, they are doing this to protect our course and for safety reasons, if you injure yourself whilst doing this you will have no claim on insurance.
Ray Gudge has obtained a voucher from Teignmouth GC for 4 to play (FOC) before 17th February  2018. He would like Seniors to make blind bids by 15th December. Bids should be placed in an envelope in the grey box alongside the filing cabinet in the Locker Room. Proceeds from the winning bid will go to the Captain's Charity.
