6th November Roll Up Report
3 Ball Hassle and First Round Winter League

With the Winter league players having preference, the remaining 12 Seniors played a Hassle (medal) and one senior played the November Rolling Stableford. There was limited money to pay out so the winning 3 man team took all the pot. There were 3 Two’s paying £2 per two therefore £0.66p per person per Two.

Twenty three teams played in the first round of the Winter League, of which Seven players  were playing on their own as their partners were away for one reason or another. It must be commented on that it was not Gordon Hughes Twin Brother walking the fairways today, as buggies were banned, Gordon didn’t want to let his partner down so for the very first time that any person can recall, Gordon walked the course. Well done Gordon I hope that the aches and pains tonight are not too vast.
Note:- Farmer Bob and Alan Chance were in a 2-ball as both their Partners were away, but they were very complementary about the excellent manners shown by you all in inviting them to play through and cutting almost 90 Minutes off their round of golf.  Thank you all for good Gold etiquette.

Two Teams were DQ’d one for not signing their card, and the other team returned a card which was marked as a reference to checking their playing partners score and their own scores. It was extremely difficult for the adjudicator and various others to try to decipher how they had marked their scores on the card and after much deliberation , the only obvious result was to DQ their score , as there was no precise way of knowing what their correct scores were for cross checking.

When playing a 4BBB there is only one score per team required on the card with the score in the column of the player scoring on that particular hole. Make sure that when keeping the score for the opposing team your teams score must be put in the Markers score column, and nowhere else.
