 Thanks
Roger

51 Seniors  turned out in what started a wet morning for the Early Birds, however after two or three holes the rain stopped and the weather became rather muggy. After the incessant overnight rain the course was extremely wet, so the Head Greenkeeper enforced  no Buggies.  There were 7 Birdies paying out £2 per birdie, paying out £1 per birdie per person.
Our on course reporter, reported the following :   John Pearce’s drive off the 8th Tee was not his best, and John Sweet having driven his drive way past JKP, exclaimed “What sort of a shot do you call that then John” referring to JKP’s not so good shot.  Some comment from a normal 40 handicapper today playing off 36 as we played 90% of club Handicap.    Goes to show that sometimes the higher handicappers can perform quite well.

There have been some minor changes to the Cyder Cup Start Lists, check the Seniors Web site, or the Seniors Notice Board, for what should be the Final Start Lists.  (I HOPE)  These changes were due to players dropping out for whatever reason and reserves being inserted to fill the gaps.
Don’t forget the Fish and Chip / Curry  night on Wednesday 4th October.
Foot Note !   If the weather forecast is such that the course is at least as wet as it was today,
Monday 2nd October  Cyder Cup Fourball  event may be reduced to only playing the top 9 Holes. This will enable Seniors that normally use a buggy , to walk round the top 9 holes.
I will make a final decision when I arrive at the club early on Monday.
Entry fees are to be paid in the Pros Shop prior to playing
