Update on Sir Edward Bryden of Windsor Lodge, Mosterton
Sunday 17th January 2016
Hi Everyone
Sorry I haven't been in
touch for a few days, but Ted has had a bit of a blip in his progress and so
I've been waiting to see what was going to happen. They thought he might have a
twisted bowel, which required further surgery, but fortunately the CT scan
didn't reveal any twists and the bowel has either sorted itself out, or it
wasn't twisted in the first place. Today they have removed all the drips and
tubes and for the first time for ten days he's been able to eat solid food,
even if it was just mashed banana. Now the nasal-gastro tube is out, his throat
is less sore and he can speak and swallow. He's obviously very weak and tires
very easily, but he's looking a lot better and I think he's finally on the
mend. I can't wait for him to come home, the house is so quiet without him.
...so's the Golf Club Judith !!!
Time to catch up with
some sleep, Judith.
