Canadian Greensomes  – 15th January 2016

Captain's first job was to complete the January Whisky Draw, which made another healthy contribution to the funds and your ongoing generosity is much appreciated. First spin of the dice produced an 'unsold number', the second was Richard Hall himself who keeps the Isle Of Jura Scotch and the 2nd Prize of a nice bottle of Harvey's Bristol Cream went to Paul England.

There is little I can add to today’s  headline inserted by our Webmaster. Some played off club handicap whilst most played off domestic. Some played 15 holes, whilst some played 18 holes. Some played Stableford, whilst some played Medal. One pair failed to calculate 3/8th handicap correctly.  By the time the scrutineer had put everyone on the same basis, all the scores were exactly the same so everyone will get back their £1.00 stake. Please believe me. There is little point in going into detail about the mix up, but instructions will be clearer next time. My sincere apologies go to Malcolm Roy whose guidelines are perfectly clear on the web site.

Roger sent in the CST Course Updates, which had 15 holes at 08:06 and changed it to 18 holes at 09:11 - just ahead of each of our T-Times !!

There were 7 birdies and these will be paid. Each birdie is worth £2.20 per team.

There will be no domestic cuts.

Those that went across to 8,9,10 (3 Groups) were amazed at how the Course has recovered, with the greens looking stunning.

Then leaving the 9th, you are faced with a rather different T-Shot now as the hedge has been removed for 25 Yards.

then you arrive at another lovely green.(7 shots later for Nobby)

The Greenskeeper have been busy all over the place.

Monday’s match is a Triple 6 Medley Stableford off Club handicaps.

From JKP; Hope you don't mind me tweaking Captain's Report rather than Tee-Tattle, but this way the Website keeps the report in Archive and you can go back in History more easily by using the 'Older Posts' below.
