Three clubs and a Putter– 28th December 2015
Fifteen of our hardiest
turned up today in an effort to shake off the excesses of the past few days.
Only nine holes were playing, 3 were on Temporaries and no buggies were permitted, so the decision was made to ignore the scheduled
event and play a three clubs and a putter team competition with all three to
count.
Winners by a country mile
were Maurice Arnold, Martin Bargery and Bryan Frost who scored 17, 18 and 16
points respectively. These scores were only bettered by Nick George who scored
20 points but found himself drawn with a couple of “morning after the night
before” members.
As it’s Christmas, we will
have first and second team prizes. Roger Stone scored the only birdie on the 17th
so his team scooped the pot.

There will be no domestic
reductions. Do not forget that with effect from January 1st everyone
will initially be playing off their club handicap, so do check your handicap as
it may well have been changed in the recent review. Domestic reductions will be
applied to winners and runners up which will last for two weeks only.
