4BBB – 4th
November 2015
It was good to see the
progress on enlarging the 2nd and 4th tees and I’m sure
that members will excuse the tyre tracks as the benefits will benefit us all
next summer. The recent rain has made the course longer and the run on the ball
has all but disappeared Numbers were a little depleted as buggies were banned and the likes of Mick, Ted, JW etc were thwarted. Brian Hodder set his implanted batteries to 'maximum' and bravely struggled around in the Roll-Up.
Nevertheless, a few members
played very well today. Bob Barrow was particularly complimentary about his
partner Bill Hilson who he said was hitting the ball very solidly. John Pearce
and Ian Fielder complemented each other well hitting some majestic shots (not
always on the course but looking good). However, Richard Forster and Alan Davis
with 4 for 3 points on the last, crept in front of John and Ian whose 4 for 2
saved them from a handicap cut.

The usual domestic handicap
cuts apply, two shots for the winners and one shot for the runners up.
Friday’s rollup will be a two
ball Hassle. Don’t wear yourselves out before the Annual Dinner which promises
to be a riotous affair. Don't forget those Raffle Prizes you generous people, he said optimistically.
