Two from Three Stableford

Talking to Colin Ireland just after the game today, he said that his team went out with the express intention of coming third, i.e. win some money with no domestic handicap reductions. Just be careful of what you wish for.

As it was, two teams dominated today’s match, Colin’s team of Brian Hodder and Mike Hone who went out in 43 points, coming back in 42 points. However, Ray Gudge’s team of Mike Mosser and Brian Marsh also scored 85 points coming back in 43 points. They were both 9 points ahead of the third placed team. Very well done.

Before we started, JKP was picking out the likely winners. Listen to his tips and put your money elsewhere.

There were 13 birdies each paying £1.35 per team.

Please note the Senior’s Championship has been postponed until Friday, 28th August in view of the forecast of heavy rain.
Please signify your availability by ticking your name..or by adding to bottom of start list to assist Norman to make a revised Draw.

The usual domestic handicap cuts apply, two shots for the winners and one shot for the runners up.

Three played in the monthly rolling Stableford, and the Captain set the target coming in with 32 points. Bert Robinson and Brian Dening scored 31 and 19points respectively.

The Captain is still seeking Players for Tuesday 18th at home to Cannington and would sure appreciate any help you care to offer.
