July Stableford Qualifier
Although
the weather forecast was less than promising, most entrants to the July
Stableford Qualifier managed to complete their rounds without getting
soaked. In all 38 cards were returned – 18 in Division 1 and 20 in
Division 2.
After
several recent qualifying competitions with everybody over par, today
saw clear winners in both Divisions with the same below par scores –
Danny Dowell in Division 1 and Chris Denman in Division 2 with a very
credible 38 points each. Movements in individuals’ handicaps are likely!
Full results are published in the Club computer, but the leading members were:
Division 1
1st: Danny Dowell – 38 points and £15
2nd: Bert Robinson – 35 points and £12
3rd: Barrie Heath – 34 points and on count back £7
4th: John Chance – 34 points and £4
Division 2
1st: Chris Denman – 38 points and £15
2nd: Mike Mosser – 34 points and £12
3rd: Andy Beale – 33 points and £7
4th: Brian Marsh – 32 points and on count back £4 (Jerry Stephens also had 32 points)
Four ‘2s’ were recorded each taking £4.75p each. The recipients are:
Danny Dowell, Norman Markby, Colin Williams and Nick Hill.
