Well done Bill!!!

Who’d have thought it with all those star pairings out today, Stone and Denning, Pearce and George, Arnold and Davis, that Bill Hilson would show the way. Getting off to a flying start, scoring par on the first two holes, he settled back to let Danny get on the card. In the end, they won by a point from Paul England, who was Mr Steady himself. His partner, Mike Hone, nevertheless, scored half of their points. In third place, Brian Marsh and Andy Beale had the best half of the day but fell away on the back nine.

Three prizes were awarded as there were four teams each scoring 36 points. Nine Birdies were scored each paying £1.60 per team.
