From JKP - sorry being a bit tardy with AGM Pics of Prize Winners.

I have about 100 hours of PC work to complete first..but it's a long winter..Scouts, Freemasonry, Stowell Court, Family etc etc

8th Air Force bombers, dispatched from their bases in England, fly the first American bombing raid against the Germans, targeting the Wilhelmshaven port. Of 64 planes participating in the raid, 53 reached their target and managed to shoot down 22 German planes—and lost only three planes in return.




Bright Sunshine and 4 Degrees made for a nippy start as 51 played a Shotgun Bowmaker - with John Sweet looking pleased with his tee-shot on the 3rd Hole.


We all then arrived back at the Clubhouse around 11:55, some 3.5 Hours later to inundate poor old Miss Moneypenny in the Bar as several sat out on the Patio.

Around 12:30 we were summonsed to Horizons - which was laid out in tables of 6 - where Penny & her Team ( Chef & Nate) - brought out

  • Roast Turkey & Stuffing
  • Cranberry Sauce
  • Roast Potatoes
  • Yorkshire Pudding
  • Carrots, Cauliflower, Broccoli
  • Lashings of Gravy
Chris Hiam was really enjoying his meal when Chef asked " Who was the Gluten Free ?" - as his meal was whisked away and tarted up for the Captain as his special meal was delivered.



Even better as Committee had organised Tea & Coffee - which made it all excellent value for just £11.00.

Shortly after 13:30 the room darkened as The Chairman, Mark Cording loomed over the gathering and ran through the Agenda.,

Mark explained his modus operandi by saying  " if you put your hand-up and I ignore you, it's because I meant to ignore you" - after which it all ran rather smoothly.

Andy then asked for a moments thought for those we had lost in 2024 - Bryan Frost and Alastair Purcell
He then acknowledged the 3 aces made , Jim Lauchlan & Chris Gingell locally and John Pearce on an International visit to the prestigious St Pierre Course in Wales - where his hole-in-one , with 2 shots, amassed 6 points on a single hole.

 Chairman then introduced the Captain who had reams of paper and messages from Dave Mugridge out in St Lucia.

  • £3600.00 Raised by Monthly Raffle ( loud cheers for Jim)
  • 25 Friendlies ( W15, L8, D2)
    • but lost Enmore, Yeovil, Enmore fixtures
  • Did well in KH/SB/Avalon ( all in Muggo Report)
  • Delays in Planning Application - Fresh Water & Sewage
  • New Holes - start planning Spring 2025
  • Seniors played 3356 Rounds - putting > £6700 through tills
  • Terry won most money £222 in 67 rounds
  • Mark £216 in  68 Rounds
  • Most Rounds - Farmer Bob who played 85 times


  • Treasurer then stood ( for 11th & final time)
  • 105 Seniors
  • Then went through very healthy finances
Chairman was back and Officers voted in en-block

Charles, Terry & Chris showing they are better at Golf than they are at photographic modelling. The Team were well ahead of the field with 77 Points from 18 Pars and 2 Birdies. Chris & Terry seem more impressed with the professional way Charles is holding his bottle and looking right at the camera...a photographers dream...
