8th Air Force bombers, dispatched from their bases in England, fly the first American bombing raid against the Germans, targeting the Wilhelmshaven port. Of 64 planes participating in the raid, 53 reached their target and managed to shoot down 22 German planes—and lost only three planes in return.
Bright Sunshine and 4 Degrees made for a nippy start as 51 played a Shotgun Bowmaker - with John Sweet looking pleased with his tee-shot on the 3rd Hole.
We all then arrived back at the Clubhouse around 11:55, some 3.5 Hours later to inundate poor old Miss Moneypenny in the Bar as several sat out on the Patio.
Around 12:30 we were summonsed to Horizons - which was laid out in tables of 6 - where Penny & her Team ( Chef & Nate) - brought out

- Roast Potatoes
- Yorkshire Pudding
- Carrots, Cauliflower, Broccoli
- Lashings of Gravy
- £3600.00 Raised by Monthly Raffle ( loud cheers for Jim)
- 25 Friendlies ( W15, L8, D2)
- but lost Enmore, Yeovil, Enmore fixtures
- Did well in KH/SB/Avalon ( all in Muggo Report)
- Delays in Planning Application - Fresh Water & Sewage
- New Holes - start planning Spring 2025
- Seniors played 3356 Rounds - putting > £6700 through tills
- Terry won most money £222 in 67 rounds
- Mark £216 in 68 Rounds
- Most Rounds - Farmer Bob who played 85 times
- Treasurer then stood ( for 11th & final time)
- 105 Seniors
- Then went through very healthy finances
