1. The sign up sheet for the Past Captain’s Trophy is on the notice board. This will take place 04th September. Cost is £10.
2. I attended a club committee meeting on Tuesday and here are some salient points from it:-
a) The range is very busy since Toptracer was introduced with still a few enhancements to come (food etc.)
b) There about another 1000 loads to be trucked in to the area where the 3 new holes will be. Currently they expect to start “building” the holes from spring next year. As for actually playing on them probably a good couple of years (in my opinion)
c)It appears that the holes to be removed to facilitate the new ones will now be hole 8, hole 13 and one other that is still under discussion. However there may be some change to hole 6 or hole 18 as it is envisaged that some car parking will be taking place around these holes.
d) The Greenkeepers are scheduled to move to their new building at some point in September and the current building will be demolished.
e) The festival week was very successful for the club and this now looks to be the way forward in the future.
f) Team captains (Avalon, SSB, friendlies) can email Alex and he can put the results on the website so that all club members can see how well club sections/ teams are doing.
g) All friendly match team sheets for September are on the notice board. Also the Yellow ball trophy (21/09/24) sign up sheet is also on the notice board.
