Report on behalf of our Captain who is out on a mercy mission tonight, so just managed to collate the results before his Limmo arrived...and left the Blog to write a bit of a report ( He'll learn) !
Well, 28 Days have passed and as promised, we were back playing Golf once more..and for some of us, 'Playing Golf' involves a vivid imagination...but others found it rather easy. The day went off like clockwork with 99% attendance..only failure was Ian H who foolishly decided to slash his hand open with a Stanley Knife (other suicide kits are available)... It was a relatively mild day with no wind, but that didn't prevent some rather dodgy tee-shots on the 1st.. 13 Holes had a score of 8 or above, how about a 16 on the 7th ( no wonder Rod & Liz walked in after 12 holes in 3 hours...) JKP got the first bollocking after continuing his habit of taking 10 balls to piece of land adjacent the ball machine, where they usually park the ball retriever ...but rather close to the 'Pitch & Putt sign which requests 'no practicing' - my defence that I was giving them 10 decent balls each time, did not impress The Head Greenskeeper who simply remarked 'You should know better' - so I left.... Could not see anything about Handicap Changes, so maybe John Wandless can enlighten us. Traditionally, the Winner of this Comp takes home a Voucher for his Christmas Dinner, which was sponsored by a local Butcher, so looks like more people got paid out today so maybe we should call it 'Bits of a Turkey Trott....
