Friday Scramble Result

As the weather has become more unsettled and like today we may have some restrictions on buggy usage, I shall be monitoring the forecast for each event and should the possibility of a buggy ban, I shall be grouping those who use buggies together so that it doesn’t affect the others as it did today. Should the ban not come into play, then this group can either participate in the comp of the day or just play a friendly round amongst themselves. Choice will be entirely theirs to make.

On a day when next year’s captain nearly killed this year’s by hitting his ball off the tee on the 11th landing about 10 yards behind me on the 10th hole missing my head by a couple of feet, we had 49 seniors participating in today’s 4B scramble with 3 teams playing as 3 balls and one team just playing a fun round because of withdrawals and buggy ban. With the captaincy just round the corner, Mark is feeling the pressure and his tee shots at the moment remind me of a birthday card given to me by my son when I started playing golf 14 years ago. It said, if you hit it right, it is a fade, if you hit it left, it is a draw and if you hit it to the middle of the fairway, it is a F****** Miracle. Sorry Mark, couldn’t avoid it LOL

As far as the results go, Muggers does it again. I can’t see any report where he hasn’t finished on the top 3. We can’t really call him a bandit with his handicap, but when you put him in a team competition with others, he ends up playing a few shots above his handicap. Playing steady golf pays I suppose and he is doing it rather well.

Great welcome to new member Ray Wilson.
