Seniors Championship
As the course was closed for most of the morning
due to heavy fog today’s
Seniors Championship was called off and since it is one of the major events
in our calendar, it has been rescheduled for next Friday replacing Challenge
Cup R3 which in turn has been scheduled for early September. |

Not much to report
today apart from a couple of newsworthy items which I couldn’t ignore. Firstly
look at the scores below and whoever agrees with me that the Vice-Captain
should be cut severely join me in signing a petition to achieve this. A
beautiful display of golf, fantastic tee & approach shots not to mention
his chipping & putting. He scored gross 1 over par (Net 11 under par &
47 points). Sounds odd, but it was really joy to watch Mark & Dave crushing
me & Roger in matchplay wining 6 & 4. Needless to say we did not win
a single hole as Dave stepped in when Mark failed to birdie or par the hole.
Secondly Stuart Pope was busy on the 10th with
all his gardening tools tidying up around the halfway house for the Seniors
Charity event on 17th September. He does this year in year out. On
behalf of the seniors, a big thanks to Stuart.
