Hi John,

 I am hoping that someone has found my WILSON STAFF 8 Iron. I have enquired in the pro shop but it has not been handed in so far.

It's a very special Club as I had the 5th & 7th grove deepened to improve backspin and increase my legendary 'almost a birdie' count.

This Video from Wheathill, shows their Captain also having problems with changes for Seniors as he instructed every effort to Cycle to the Club to reduce the carbon footprint. Some of you will recognise their 2017 Captain, Ron Seatheight.




Summer Knockout Update:-

Derek Gardener took out Frank Martin , finishing 1 Up.

In a clash of the Handicaps, Jeremy Blackburn & Gordon Brent had to play down the 19th to finally put the tricky Chris Gingell / Ian Housham out of the Pairs Knockout.

Wednesday 24th June Stableford Qualifier

 

On a beautiful sunny day we had 40 seniors ventured out to play our 3rd qualifier of this year. From the results table it can be seen that scores were either good or not very good. Conditions were right for shooting high scores and I assume others suffered some kind of injury as Colin Ireland and myself did. Hopefully we will all make up for it on next Mondays Medal Qualifier. We had a new member Jim Lauchlan who played his first game with our group alongside myself and the ex-captain P S-Farr. He was doing rather well until he picked his ball up on the 12th to make sure that it was his and got penalised 2 shots for doing so and his game went down the hill there after.

 

As it was mentioned in yesterday’s report that we may be able to get back in the changing room after July 4th which will be relief as we will be able to go back to our old way of doing things and I am sure quite a number of you will be happy with that and be glad to see the back of introduction of technology. Until then I am going to put the entry list for the next qualifier on the board OUTSIDE THE PRO SHOP for you to put your names down if you want to play in the qualifiers.

 

Today’s results are listed below. A well-earned handicap deduction for Clive Fisk who I am certain will enjoy the outcome as a result of a very good day of golf.
