Wednesday 17th June 2020 Weekly Medal

Wednesday 17th June 2020
Weekly Medal

A lot has gone on within our Section in the past 24 Hours, not much of it very pleasant, as people lose the perspective that we are very lucky people to be able to play Golf and walk on some beautiful turf.
Nearly half a million CV19 Victims would gladly swap with us.
Whatever we do for the next few weeks is a Temporary fix for an enforced situation and requires adaptability on all sides. In the event, you can still play Golf 'the old way' and you do not have to get involved in any of the fancy stuff like Vpar - use of the hand-dialed telephone will get you all you desire.

Please think carefully about our situation and if everything else fails....

Good News - All my 12 Crates of Books were picked up by Ferne Animal Sanctuary this Morning. Thanks for your help in arranging and other offers ( Eric & Lynn) - I now have a much clearer garage and can continue building the 'Grandson Annex' for Michael - Plumbers are here today to continue installing the unvented system that uses cold-water pressure to drive showers etc - without and need for header tank  - and some fancy shower panels that obviate about 50 square feet of tiling and grouting.  My task today is Stud -work and Kitchen Units / Worktops....plus making tea whilst keeping my distance...

Morning gentlemen

A few informative posts. As can be seen the match times have been listed below. If anyone that is involved in a match and has an additional tee time booked, need to call the pro shop and cancel that booking so that other members can take those slots.

Next Wednesday's Stableford qualifier is open. Anyone wishing to enter put your name on the WhatsApp CST Seniors group. If you are not in the group, then send a text, email or Whatsapp message "Qualifier" to 0781088053 or to James@higrade.com

Let's spend a moment to think about our members that are still in isolation and that we haven't seen since march 23rd - signs that they may be 'released' soon.
As USA hits 120,000 Deaths and Worldwide it passes 450,000 - with Brazil finding 35,000 new cases in just 1 day..it certainly has not yet been mastered.

Back to Golf, and it's Jeremy's Handicap that continues to make the headlines ...

May as well leave the Picture of Jeremy and Edmundo on the Blog for a while, but noted Mr Mugridge moving down to the extremely respectful '5 Handicap Club'

Just look at his back 9-   6 Pars and 3 Birdies....
